During the past week, my family and I took a much needed trip to Canada! We flew into Calgary and stayed in Banff for four days. While we were there, we visited Moraine lake and Lake Louise, both of which were absolutely breathtaking. There was a HUGE glacier right behind Lake Louise which was extremely impressive as well. We also went on a gondola ride with one of the best views I have seen so far. When we arrived at the top, we were pleasantly surprised to find a restaurant surrounded by the mountains and glaciers. I think that might have been one of the most memorable dinners I’ve had in a while. Finally, after exploring the lakes, we took a road trip on Icefields Parkway, which is arguably one of the most scenic roads in North America.
For my look, I decided I wanted to be comfortable when we went hiking, so I wore a v-neck shirt, a light jacket, an athletic skirt and sneakers. Note: I didn’t have time to buy hiking shoes, so I opted for getting a sturdy pair of shoes I wouldn’t mind getting muddy, so I ran to Target to get something a little more affordable. Always keep in mind that shoes have the potential to get pretty worn when going hiking, and I once had to say goodbye to my favorite pair of Nikes because of hiking the Na’pali coast in Kauai.

P.S. – The skirt I’m wearing is no longer sold at Lululemon. 🙁 I linked the next closest thing, and you can find the same style skirt at Ivivva.
